About
Kayleigh Hennerty is a compassionate trial lawyer at Carpenter & Zuckerman who combines litigation training, courtroom experience, and community-driven leadership to advocate for individuals harmed by another’s negligence. With a concentration in Civil Litigation and a strong foundation in personal injury, wrongful death, sexual assault, and traumatic brain injury cases, Kayleigh brings a client-centered, justice-focused approach to her practice. She leverages her legal skills and advocacy to ensure her clients are seen, heard, and fully compensated.
Before joining Carpenter & Zuckerman as a trial lawyer, Kayleigh served as a law clerk with the firm, where she worked on a wide range of personal injury matters. Her responsibilities included drafting persuasive demand letters and legal memoranda, conducting research on statutory and case law, and assisting in depositions, mediations, trial preparation, and discovery meetings. Her work contributed to resolving cases involving complex injuries and sensitive claims.
Kayleigh also gained legal experience interning at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, where she supported felony arraignment court operations, transcribed victim interviews, and observed courtroom proceedings. As an undergraduate, she completed a competitive judicial internship program, attending over 75 hours of superior court proceedings and participating in mentoring sessions with a sitting judge.
Kayleigh is deeply committed to fostering equity and inclusion within the legal profession. As a law student, she held leadership roles in multiple affinity organizations and helped coach future advocates through her involvement in moot court. Outside of the courtroom, she enjoys baking, stand-up paddleboarding, and pilates—and she brings that same drive and discipline into her legal practice.

Kayleigh earned her Juris Doctor from LMU Loyola Law School in May 2025, graduating with a concentration in Civil Litigation. She was also an active member of the Women’s Law Association and the Trial Lawyers Association at LMU.
In May 2019, Kayleigh earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, graduating cum laude from California State University, Long Beach, where she also completed a Legal Studies Certificate and served as Treasurer of the Pre-Law Society.
