About
Carson A. Haus is a dedicated trial attorney at Carpenter & Zuckerman who tirelessly strives to achieve justice for her clients and attain high-value results through hard work and commitment at all stages of litigation.
In May of 2022, Carson began her journey at CZ Law as a summer associate. She quickly proved her capabilities and earned a post-bar position, making her the first summer associate to achieve that honor.
As a certified law clerk, Carson second-chaired her first trial in November 2023, resulting in a noteworthy seven-figure verdict. Two days later, the California Bar Association notified Carson that she had passed the California Bar Examination on her first attempt, setting a promising precedent for her legal career.
Carson discovered her passion for legal advocacy while working at a personal injury firm during her first year of law school. This experience inspired her to champion the rights of people during their most vulnerable times, and it became the cornerstone of her commitment to seeking justice and fair compensation for her clients at CZ Law.
Outside the office, Carson cherishes quality time with her fiancé, family, and friends. She enjoys game nights and creating lasting memories, as well as spending time with her beloved dog.
Education
In just three years, Carson graduated with a dual honors B.A. in History and Human Rights and minors in Women’s and Gender Studies and Law and Legal Reasoning from Southern Methodist University, demonstrating her commitment to advocacy and change.
While at SMU, Carson documented stories of alumni from underrepresented groups in the Voices of SMU Oral History project. She was instrumental in securing the approval and installation of the Texas State Historical Marker on SMU’s campus, commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic 1966 speech on campus. Carson had the honor of returning as a keynote speaker in SMU’s McFarlin Auditorium, the same venue where Dr King gave his speech 57 years earlier.
Continuing her academic excellence, Carson attended the University of San Diego School of Law, where she graduated Cum Laude in May of 2023. While attending law school, Carson held numerous leadership positions including Editor-in-Chief of the International Law Journal, Academic Success Fellow, and Vice President of the Health Law Society.
